"THE ART OF KEVIN CROWLEY" Screen Printed Flyer Portfolio RADIO-LTD-001

Several years in the making, Radio Raheem is proud to present this collection of artwork by one of our all-time favorites, Abused frontman Kevin Crowley. Kevin's gritty pointillism style and often humorous subject matter combined for some of the best and most instantly-recognizable hardcore flyers of the early 80's. Did we also mention this guy invented the NYHC symbol?

From the man himself: "First and foremost, I was the singer of The Abused; it just so happened I could draw. There was definitely a conscious effort to give the band a distinctive look. Up until that point not much effort was put into creating visually captivating show flyers. I wanted to make people remember us. I always thought that the way we portrayed ourselves was important. I wanted our music and the artwork associated with the band to be cohesive. Because of the technique I was using, the flyers were really labor intensive to produce which is why there is only 12 of them."

Set includes 11"x14" 15 prints, expertly reproduced from Kevin's original drawings:
• "Coming Soon" flyer (1982)
• All 12 of Kevin's original numbered show flyers (1982-1983)
• Alternate, unfinished artwork for show flyer #2 (1982)
• Promotional flyer for the "Loud And Clear" 7" release (1983)
